I hope you all had a great Christmas if you celebrate it - and that the New Year will be fun and full of much better things than this one has been.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I made a couple of cards for Christmas</p><div style="text-align: center;">This first one is using an SU die and embossing folder, some scrap sparkle card and sentiments from Uniquely Creative. Oh, and some bling. Mustn't forget the bling. <br />I cut a rectangle in the top of the topper - then I embossed the topper. <br />I die cut the Santa image and positioned it behind the empty rectangle.<br />Then I put the glitter paper behind that. I added the sentiment and bling and then put the topper on a card. Done. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhyzdinc0kMdbAnTROCXEVCjZCOTmCOMRWGyd5fZh0pRswt9ZW4zVQ_oUhfImWV81VUSwKv4Ca4zVnyz0CiRbI3Ef9rBWlIPzCSYOzYT8s3KVavwFe9pOsOD786KuTW82CNYZOpCuYIalEeHdBf8Iwmnim5S3TSFiIzT1QvIt_376DI1UEUUxisH9zf5g=s3468" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3468" data-original-width="2601" height="403" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhyzdinc0kMdbAnTROCXEVCjZCOTmCOMRWGyd5fZh0pRswt9ZW4zVQ_oUhfImWV81VUSwKv4Ca4zVnyz0CiRbI3Ef9rBWlIPzCSYOzYT8s3KVavwFe9pOsOD786KuTW82CNYZOpCuYIalEeHdBf8Iwmnim5S3TSFiIzT1QvIt_376DI1UEUUxisH9zf5g=w302-h403" width="302" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This one uses an image from Uniquely creative behind the Santa but is basically made the same way as above. I made a few of these as my cards this year - I had a system going and could make 10 in under an hour. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiyaLTVoYGpGjSgsu4O1BEB8R-UkS9HwfOfB7jwqsZ_xjQ2TQIC9yobcvOERPwD9N6Z2Nxw1sq32Q1NsrewuElRNkAgo0Uz2LsJOhyglf79WXcu2a4xGLjogBb5XUdtAtH_upM43lqQBU737EvplTKLs1cPJRXKhrM7zj-FQh9ONFqkwuydIU-CGExWAA=s3468" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3468" data-original-width="2601" height="372" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiyaLTVoYGpGjSgsu4O1BEB8R-UkS9HwfOfB7jwqsZ_xjQ2TQIC9yobcvOERPwD9N6Z2Nxw1sq32Q1NsrewuElRNkAgo0Uz2LsJOhyglf79WXcu2a4xGLjogBb5XUdtAtH_upM43lqQBU737EvplTKLs1cPJRXKhrM7zj-FQh9ONFqkwuydIU-CGExWAA=w279-h372" width="279" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This one I made using s similar technique - except here I diecut the image three times across a piece of card and then made this the topper over a background. No embossing here but bling and sentiment strips. The background was DP from SU (2020) and I just smooched ink on it change from white to this. I added the underlay of aqua before putting the whole onto a card. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjU_sOW53K1NxpVrAgNWaB5xYNURJkiCWDDAhbRfxmrgu6ldhYKyHMh6TwUxBq1Jpn1NKmFUDVYkdRvhbPyZ47YbNHwHsNWuIQRy3bcv46yAoNqqHRwedyc5sGDOp_IQIkKA3XpI5p73_XIf-QlSpf87_qDgAnBmeJ-STbtUyZ2S5mwNNdR6KVN2PjCqw=s3468" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2601" data-original-width="3468" height="292" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjU_sOW53K1NxpVrAgNWaB5xYNURJkiCWDDAhbRfxmrgu6ldhYKyHMh6TwUxBq1Jpn1NKmFUDVYkdRvhbPyZ47YbNHwHsNWuIQRy3bcv46yAoNqqHRwedyc5sGDOp_IQIkKA3XpI5p73_XIf-QlSpf87_qDgAnBmeJ-STbtUyZ2S5mwNNdR6KVN2PjCqw=w389-h292" width="389" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This one had a different piece of DP and some gold card but is basically the same card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I made this one in various colourways about a dozen times. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I used this for <a href="https://unstampabelleschallenges.blogspot.com/">Unstampabelles</a> latest challenge.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgaiWhDTfYrU_xp1z4QU8BLotbJAa0KFUcMmENGt7i5lMvjmnAutEiZ-MTfs3R8Ms0MHvtL_1bm8TgQfL7K_X-CCCvW-yfxj3aGAslBUpiKSt7vGZIEALnxYYR3NreqpWGiQXLDfoduiGMwZ6tas3Z86y6d-CqvWDzGhcu-GxL0adqev41ZfN2GPG9rlA=s3468" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2601" data-original-width="3468" height="284" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgaiWhDTfYrU_xp1z4QU8BLotbJAa0KFUcMmENGt7i5lMvjmnAutEiZ-MTfs3R8Ms0MHvtL_1bm8TgQfL7K_X-CCCvW-yfxj3aGAslBUpiKSt7vGZIEALnxYYR3NreqpWGiQXLDfoduiGMwZ6tas3Z86y6d-CqvWDzGhcu-GxL0adqev41ZfN2GPG9rlA=w378-h284" width="378" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">This one was super easy but had a stamp - again I set up a system and made quite a few. font-size: medium;">I decided to use my journal for this challenge and I thought about the challenge theme</span></p><p style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: large;"><b>#116: Everyone has a Story<span> </span></b></span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: medium;"><b style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: red;">TWIST:</span></b><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><b>use a page from a book somewhere in your piece</b></span></span></p><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: times; font-size: medium;">I have always loved to travel and with the pandemic this has been put on the backburner<br /></span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: times; font-size: medium;">I particularly loved to see doorways - and imagine what was happening behind them.....<br /></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: medium;">and the Mediterranean area is full of wonderful, intriguing doorways....<br /></span></span></span><span style="color: #333333;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; font-size: medium;">So I painted a doorway using Jane Davenport's lovely Sushi Roll paints - rich and beautiful.</span></span></div><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: times; font-size: medium;"></span></p><p style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #333333; text-align: left;"></span></p><p style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: medium;">Then I remembered I needed to have used a page from a book in the TWIST so I photocopied a page from my Penquin Dictionary and cut out the relevant section about doorways and fixed it in place. </span></p><p style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: medium;"><span> <span style="font-weight: normal;"> </span></span><span style="font-weight: normal;"> </span></span><br /><span style="color: #333333; A Christmas card! My first for 2021. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Spring had arrived the day I made this - there was sun, rain, wind, snow and more sun all day. Ignoring the weeds - this is the first of the orchids blooming in the space outside the workshop door....I have about 25 pots of orchids and about 12 spikes at this stage. I must feed them before they all bloom!</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcccG69XbeEtMpsG-rJPhe_cRgUMPbgBEqvfLpBC6yww6YeBupTqqBw2m-parL3wdgl-PZS1QKCt4HIMvs71CnevKGcADIYuTtye1a7eNjxBqCgu5xzgswMC8fBhiYMnfnMJDhcSLiSl9Y/s1308/orchards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1308" data-original-width="1126" height="361" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcccG69XbeEtMpsG-rJPhe_cRgUMPbgBEqvfLpBC6yww6YeBupTqqBw2m-parL3wdgl-PZS1QKCt4HIMvs71CnevKGcADIYuTtye1a7eNjxBqCgu5xzgswMC8fBhiYMnfnMJDhcSLiSl9Y/w310-h361/orchards.jpg" width="310" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">this challenge requires a background stencil, so I got out the old pizza box I use for sprays and began with some TH stencils and sprays. The cards are made from leftover white card and are all 4 x 4 cms, folded.</p><p style="text-align: center;">This size is useful as it can be a gift card or just a small card to tuck into something and I am planning on printing off some photo's and sending them to people with the card as a Thank You for attending my party last month.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I stamped each with the <i>Thank You</i> stamp from SU's new <i>Nature's Harvest</i> Set</p><p style="text-align: center;">In retrospect I should have dropped them down lower on the cards to allow more room for the circles. I had to trim several to make them fit better.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcKPwWIkAJKFICKnVLsgkU4JacWcBN1Hf69DyDN9GpgFszQrYqw3s-ia6SIvGGL0Xm5gyU7Ndzt8wzPp9277u-sf0SuvYYFv3QVhD1KJ-suqVoZSLix5hdsTGVjHTe1rrcUvrBA_hyxzEL/s1255/thanks2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; Needless to say, all good things have to end.....</p><p style="text-align: center;">I had to create something for <a href="https://unstampabelleschallenges.blogspot.com/">Unstampabelles</a> based on the theme</p><p style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: medium;">All about Me</span></b></p><p style="text-align: center;">with a <b><span style="color: red;">TWIST</span></b> of a probably self portrait</p><p style="text-align: center;">So...I created a mini album for some photo's taken at a party on Sunday</p><p style="text-align: center;">I started with some old DT paper from Stampin' Up that had a look of the period when High Tea was common, as my party was a High Tea with 11 of my girl friends who could make it in these days of quarantine and isolation</p><p style="text-align: center;">As the papers were only 12 x 12, I had to add two together to make the album long enough, and to giv me a fold back to close the album</p><p style="text-align: center;">I based it on an album I had made in a class in 2019 using a brown paper bag....but of course I used DP papers and made up my own measurements</p><p style="text-align: center;"><b>WARNING:</b></p><p style="text-align: center;">Lots of photo's ahead!!!!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxRU2N6gkoqz7b8SQ4JPhpeTgJWRFsEfqIyu-C7j0UNAThdNb8r5Il1e9o2eUAGDhMzYheGEe3Uqp1ezAhyphenhypheny_rkge8E8NstqqSF3LmlXvha1JbRi8pPAkKirGQaqm0LPR49Ry9JUbyMqan/s1034/album2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="759" data-original-width="1034" height="235" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxRU2N6gkoqz7b8SQ4JPhpeTgJWRFsEfqIyu-C7j0UNAThdNb8r5Il1e9o2eUAGDhMzYheGEe3Uqp1ezAhyphenhypheny_rkge8E8NstqqSF3LmlXvha1JbRi8pPAkKirGQaqm0LPR49Ry9JUbyMqan/s320/album2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">To create a place to add pages to the middle of the album, I cut and folded in half vertically several strips of white card. The you just stick them together until you have enough to make the number of pages you require</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Hope you are dry, cool, healthy, warm, safe and inspired to craft!</p><p style="text-align: center;">Today I am sharing a piece in my journal inspired by some sidewalk (pathway) art by David Zinn, for the challenge at<a href="https://unstampabelleschallenges.blogspot.com/"> Unstampabelles</a></p><p style="text-align: center;"><b style="background-color: white; My hubby has been in hospital for three weeks now but he is getting better. He is an a rehab hospital now and it is expected that he will be home soon. However, it got me thinking about how long we have been married - 37 plus years - and so when I had to make something for the <a href="https://unstampabelleschallenges.blogspot.com/">Unstampabelles </a>challenge, I went to the Wedding Album and took out one of the photo's to scrap. That was the start of our adventures together......</p><p>I was working late on this so when I tried to take the photo's the light was impossible. So I will try for better ones later but for now these will have to do.....today in Australia it is Mother's Day so this was also part of my thinking.......</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The dark strip is dark blue to match John's suit.</div><div style="text-align: center;">We are signing the Wedding Certificate here</div><div style="text-align: center;">A larger one of this photo sits on my work desk - it has faded somewhat over time now that I compare the two photo's but then so have we......</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeYnMleOmGIruqEWlwVomT3tLowuxlttuyFA4TGGAdbRS-Bjc5a4DvAaNQmxDT0ThOdVa0SnLrAaVa4dBZia2Q7509vpMiToCQtKfxGXkeYxZkfoMdR6qa_Wm87-y6CgCdT0uAKvdMk7FE/s1139/love1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1106" data-original-width="1139" height="403" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeYnMleOmGIruqEWlwVomT3tLowuxlttuyFA4TGGAdbRS-Bjc5a4DvAaNQmxDT0ThOdVa0SnLrAaVa4dBZia2Q7509vpMiToCQtKfxGXkeYxZkfoMdR6qa_Wm87-y6CgCdT0uAKvdMk7FE/w415-h403/love1.jpg" width="415" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I carried Singapore Orchids in that creamy mushroom shade. He has currently removed one of my decoupage bears from it's card and I cannot find it - and he is not telling where it might be.
