Unstampabelles Challenge #31: New Beginnings:

Happy New Year

I saw this on Facebook and thought it appropriate!

I have taken over the reins at the Challenge blog called
UNSTAMPABELLES

This Challenge Blog requires you to create a paper product - card, box, gift - without using any stamps at all: not digital or rubber or cling! You can use a computer to generate sentiments if necessary.  It is fun to play along and that is how I became involved in it in the first place.

While before I was on Merry's Design Team, now I am doing all the admin, finding sponsors and setting challenges and such - I didn't have to start from scratch so that is a blessing, but I have been thinking of doing this for some time, and as I said to Merry, I didn't want to die not knowing if I could do this or not. So 2014 will be an exciting time for me and maybe a bit stressful too but that will be good stress , not bad!

If you are interested in sponsoring us, please contact me by email here

Our first challenge for 2014 is called

NEW BEGINNINGS

and has a TWIST added to it: use some thing that is new, or a new technique and talk about it in your blog when you enter the challenge with us!

It is sponsored by

The prize includes paper tole sheets, foam pads, paper twist, feathers, 2 x packs of stitching card fronts and envelopes, 3d Sticker sets - weddings and babies.  Many of these things are new items to use i.e feather are very trendy at the moment!
Many thanks to Mandy!

I have used a new die cut from MFT Dienamics. I ordered this in November, and it arrived while I was busy crafting Christmas cards, so I put it to one side and almost forget I had it! It was while I was cleaning up the Christmas mess that I discovered it again.  There are four words in this set - so you haven't seen the last of it! That is my homage to the TWIST - using a new product for the first time! The word YOU is cut from a scrap of red sparkly card using  a die set from Marianne

I cut the word out of some sparkly silver card, and die cut my circles using the Stampin' Up dies. I didn't have a way of getting the green edge except by using the same two dies I used for the yellow, and then trimming off the scallop edge, so if you look very carefully you can see this is a bit untidy!

The bird die cuts were in a set from Kaiser

The embossed white card has been inked with SU Raspberry Ripple and the background of the circle is a piece of SU Pacific Point.  The whole is placed on a piece of silver mirror card, and framed with SU Raspberry Ripple card, before being added to a white commercial blank from Regal Press

This one was taken out of the direct sun. It is very sparkly in the sun!

This card was made to celebrate the people who have made Unstampabelles a success to date - the followers, the entrants and the 'Belles who provide the inspiration for the Challenges. I look forward to seeing your take on this great challenge - why not go to Unstampabelles and check out the lovely work the DT have produced for your inspiration!

I will enter this in the following places:

Sugar Creek Hollow: Something New
Card Making Mama's: Anything Goes
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards: New Beginnings! (great minds.....)
Totally Papercrafts:  New Beginnings (it seems when I went to Paper Playful I was not as clever as I thought I was; there are many other sites using this theme this month!)
