Who has a Bucket List?

A friend of mine has one and she is ticking off her list one by one, and adding some more to the bottom as she goes......

I sorta do - but it is not written down, it's in my head and it changes fairly often

As an Easter gift to another friend, I created a
Bucket List booklet

where you can write down your list and any information you need to gather to fulfill it!

I started with on old Memo booklet of mine that had only five pages used in it - I tore them out

I liked the black binding so left that and simply added some pretty papers front and back - they are from SU, and are all in the same set.

I did the inside front page and a strip down the first page to disguise the fact that five pages were torn out.

I added a pretty metal from, and a key and a bow.

My sentiment is created with sticker letters - the set only had one h - can you imagine that?
Why?

I had to utilize a b to create my second h

It looks quite pretty and is small enough to lay ona bedside table or similar, or go inside a big bag.

Simple and quick and suits the theme and the twist
Meets all requirements, as it also provided me with a gift for a friend.

There are only 5 days to go to enter this challenge #55  at

Now you have got Easter over with and your tummy is full of sweetness, start creating!

Midway Through Unstampabelle's March Challenge

Well, we are halfway through March, and this current challenge#55 at

Twist: use a key

In this card (it does not have to be a card, just this one is!) I have used an image that came free with some papers in a recent magazine. I thought she was certainly unlocking her potential and flying.....

In fact - she was awesome!

I added my key (to help her unlock her potential) as an accessory - thought it went well with the glasses, bow tie and the pearls!

Isn't she gorgeous!

The lollipop has kindy glitz on it and the glasses and bow tie are coated with Wink of Stella
The background paper was part of the magazine giveaway as well

Why not have a go at the challenge - you an make almost anything you know, as long as you don't use stamps or digi stamps.

OMG - it's nearly Easter!

Crafting with Dragonflies has a new challenge#53 - Easter Cards

I used a stamp set for 2015 from Stampin' Up called Indescribable Gift and stamped it onto some
shimmery white card from SU with Versamark ink, and embossed it with white EP.

The shimmer shows here as white flecks

I then used the SU markers to watercolour the card.
That was fine until I tried to water colour in the background - the card was too dry and water resistant to take the colour easily so I ended up with a streaky sky.......

I did stamp two images and fussy cut one to pop up on top of the main flowers

I added the plastic bird (from D'Lish) to try and disguise the terrible colouring job..........

Some mounting (SU card) and some pale aqua lace, with SU ribbon

It looks quite shimmery in the light but not in the photo's

You have two weeks to enter this new challenge at

I will enter this in the following challenges:
ArtbyMiran: Anything Goes
Jo's Scrap Shack: Happy Easter

Unstampabelles Challenge#55: Unlock Your Potential

Hello everyone
Well, you are all finding this one a trifle difficult is the number of entries are to go by!

I would have thought any celebration would fit this as if you are celebrating something, you are about to unlock some more of your potential to grow in some way.......

You could choose this to be doing something you have not attempted before and therefore are unlocking the potential to add this to your repertoire......

Aren't these keys so cute!

I cut a corner out of my Co'Ordinations Whitewash card after I had embossed the sentiment onto the bottom right side, and sanded it to bring up the back colour. I also sanded around the edges a bit and the lacy diecut.

I add some sliver twine, a sparkly heart, and a sparkly star

My banners are two ribbon and one card - embossed with hearts

I think it makes quite a bold statement, and the inside will say something about the keys to success

I think I should have used a black mount as well and may do that yet.

An update and some work to look at.....

Hi Everyone - some of you may be wondering why I haven't been as busy lately as I am usually on the blog.  Well, I have not been able to sit or stand for long, and have had a big problem with my back; at one stage I was looking at a potential back operation, but at this stage we are hoping that I will learn to manage it with drugs (including pain killers) and physio of some kind. Apparently I am too young for an operation - isn't that nice!!!Not often that happens to you - but when it is caning I feel old enough believe me!

I can sit now for quite long periods, especially if I have an icepack at my back as I have at the moment - not sure how this will go in the winter months! I think I will check out heat packs and see if they work as well before then! I can stand for quite a while too and as my work desk is a standing desk that is lucky, and I can make stuff! So I am back crafting a bit - albeit slowly, as if I turn unexpectedly it is not nice to be in the area because the air turns blue!

Enough of me......

In February we were in Melbourne as mentioned in a previous posting, and I purchased some stamps among other goodies; I did manage to stamp these out and colour them in, using watercolour inks or Copics. They looked amazing! I then made them into cards.

I love this Stamp It one of leaves and gum nuts

You can see I played around with some mounting dies here

Another Stamp-It one and again, played with mounts and embossing folders

I got to use up a bit of my stash of background papers too.

The third stamp is from Magenta - I think I said it was a Stamp It  one before as it is the same stamp I used for a Crafting with Dragonflies DT card, but it from Magenta.

This embossing folder was a freebie when I got the new Bigshot and the first time I used it as it quite a complex one, of foliage, butterflies and script.

It took me a week to make these cards, plus another one - so I thought I would show them to you as a trophy of the times when I was not feeling that creative!

Challenge #55 at Unstampabelles

Yes, it is March and the first Monday again so Unstampabelles has a new Challenge

Unlock Your Potential

is the theme and the twist is to add a key!

I thought of the word
  transmogrification
When I was a younger woman, and a part of the feminist movement of the time (I have no problem calling myself a feminist) I had a badge with the statement on it

"Women are Transmogrifying"

Once I had looked that word up, I was quite happy to wear it, and it had behind the phrase a butterfly, because of all the creatures of the animal kingdom that one exemplifies best the meaning of the word - from a caterpillar to a chrysalis to a butterfly!

So, when talking of unlocking potential, what better to use than a butterfly

Note the key and the phrase  - a rub-on - under the insect

The flowers are made using card coloured up with Dylusional paints and stencils, and then die cut with the SU set Botanicals. These are set onto a vellum sheet (SU Botanical Gardens) coloured lightly with TH inks, This vellum sheet is laid over a sheet of paper on which the definition of transmogrify has been printed several times. The whole is on a white square card. I added some bling as well to the flowers and the butterfly.

Please go to  Unstampabelles and see what else is there and then have a go at the challenge.

Girly Cards for Crafting with Dragonflies

Well, another fortnight gone! Time for a new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies, and this time it is to make a card very girly!

Cannot get more girly than pink and green
My car dis a mixture of stamps from SU (sentiment) to Stamp It

I did mention I had a bit of a shopping spree in Melbourne when we were visiting a few weeks ago, didn't I? this stamp is one of the purchases from Bellbird.

i coloured it in with my Copics - so long since I have used them!

I added drops of pearl for more luxury!

The background paper was a freebie in a magazine many years ago - it is quite pretty I think.

Some SU card for mounting and some ribbon and voila!
A girly card.

Hope you like t!

The challenge is at Crafting with Dragonflies for the next two weeks
Always a card

'Ware the March Hare!

I always loved the rabbit in Alice, running around with his big watch, claiming he was late all the time. It's how I feel most of the time, running later than I want and not quite catching up......

And here is March - and the first day of March is the day that a new challenge begins at Eclectic Ellapu - so I have to offer you my DT project for the Purple Teeam, a card this time from me, for the "Flora and Fauna" theme. This means you can create anything with flowers, plants and animals or all of them and enter the challenge!

We are having a DT call as well, so if you are interested, just go across and read what you need to do to apply! No experience necessary!

My contribution to the challenge is this very Aussie flora and fauna card......

Guess what this is!

some gum nuts and a leaf from the eucalyptus tree or as we call it, the gum tree!

The plant is know as the grass tree  or Xanthorrhoea and stands about shoulder high, with the 'flower' eventually breaking up into lots of puffy sections that float away in the breeze. The flower spike makes an idea fishing spear apparently. The seeds are germinated after fire.

The tree trunks are meant to be natives - ash perhaps. Through the trees is either a sunset or fire! I suggest in this instance it is a beautiful sunset.............created with Dylusional paint........

The sentiment is hand written and Cooee is a call made when you want your voice to tavel over vast distances. It is called with the COO first and the EEEE like a whip lash up and extended at the end of the call, The roo has heard a call is is ready to flee! Or perhaps there is a fire after all.....

Some leaf DP from SU and a green mount, with a white card blank used for all

I hope you go across to Eclectic Ellapu and see what else is there to inspire you, and then have a go at creating your own piece - you have a whole month!
