On Saturday night a friend invited us both to attend her 60th birthday party - and the invitation (handmade) indicated that we were to 'glam up in some gorgeous "Gatsby" glad rags' and join her in 'delectable dining and dancing 'til we were dizzy'!
My glad rags were not available that night but I did have a red feather boa and hubby had a red sparkly bow tie and a black Fedora. Lots of people dressed up though including our hostess who had made her electic blue sequined dress and look fabulous! Regarding the second part - the food was divine - very delectable - with crayfish, oysters, prawns and lots of other choices, a delicious dessert and some birthday cake and the jazz band was excellent and so we did dance 'til we were dizzy!
Her actual birthday is today (Tuesday) and this is the card I made for her - today, of course. She will get it tomorrow!
I hand cut the card shape in black card and the mirror background. The silver mirror card is edged with gold sticker edging. The image itself comes from the Art Deco set I have from Papermania, decoupaged carefully.
The feather on her head and on the piece of SU bling comes from a local craft shop, and the sentiment tag is from the set.
Inside is paper from the set and I die cut two ovals - one in gold and one in cream - and stamped a sentiment from my WMS stamp set 'Putting on the Ritz".
I am very please with how it has turned out.
I will enter the following challenges:
