Listening to the footy, (especially when the Hawkes are winning) and sunshine, a warm place to craft and a full tummy (H's homemade vegetable soup) - what more could one want on a cold early winter's day. I have got some cards that were made earlier this week, so here goes.
Firstly, this card uses SU Pocket Sillouette stamps, So Saffron and Not Quite Navy ink, Whisper White card and some scrap DP, some ribbon bought in Joann's in Denver USA, and bling. It's a simple layout all put onto a blue commercial card blank. The card has an inset of white.
This card again uses a commercial blank (white) from Regal Press, various flowers, some ribbon from Kaiser, scrap card and papers, a rub on, and the jewels in the middle of the flowers were plain glass covered with my copic pens to match the flower colour I was looking for (I didn't believe this would work as well as it did!). The ribbon was wrapped around a piece of white card scrap, and then the black squares with the pink dotty paper layered on it were layered on top of the ribbon with one off-set. This was then stuck onto the card blank. The flowers were put on next, and I used Dimentional Magic to glue them on and to glue the jewel in the middle of each bloom as well. The rub-on was place there last.
This card was inspired by one I saw in a magazine - I used my Waltzing Mouse stamp set - Asian Gardens - for the screen background; my Japanese lady was a stamp from Craft Stampers (UK Magazine) designed by Hobby Art, stamped with black Memento ink and coloured by Copic pens. This image was mounted on yellow card and then onto red stamped with the screen in SU Basic Grey ink. All this was layered onto the red Bazzil piece and then glued onto a commercial white blank from Regal Press. Then the 'lucky coins' were added - again I used Dimentional Magic to glue them on. The lady was set up on the card with foam squares.
Now, back to crafting.........
