Green and Gold!

Another idea for Unstampabelles challenge #69

#69: To the men in our lives.....
TWIST add an animal or bird

The Prize will be .....
a mystery collection of new crafting bits
As it is a mystery - there is no photograph of it!
There might be teasers during the month......

it's a small box and a tag - it can hold a double handful of Lintt balls.

I added a small sticker of a Tassie Tiger later and rephotographed it!

The sentiment is sticking over the edges of the tag and there is sparkly card under the 'flame' on the candles of the tag.

All faces of the box have the die cut out of candles.

A quick and easy gift for a male colleague or similar.

I enjoyed a lovely day out at Bruny Island last week on a four wheel drive Forest to Coast tour of the island and lunch was provided - oysters, smoked salmon and trout, cheese, bread and strawberries and grapes plus white wine - all Tasmanian of course.

Yummo!!!

This was the beach.......can you see the vehicles far along the beach?

Gift Giving.....

You know when you are giving your friend/relative a gift voucher or money and it seems a bit common to just hand it to them or put it inside a card to fall out then they open the card? I like to make a small pouch or box for the voucher or cash as this shows a bit more thought.

Over at Unstampabelles, there is a challenge currently running for June whereby you are asked to make a male card, page, tag, object, gift...... WITHOUT using STAMPS! I had just received a parcel of papers and bits from the UK containing amid other things some decoupage sheets that just popped out - no fussy cutting! As they were for a male, I immediately started to think about how I could use them for the challenge.

I used my SU gift pouch die set to make the pouch and then added some extra decoration. It was quick, easy and came out well. The shark is the third layer!

Nice and sparkly!

You can tuck the cash down to hide it or leave it poking out the top. I borrowed this note from hubby - he was loath to hand it over - and just tucked it into the top. For those who don't know what our currency looks like - Wikipedia has some info and you can guess the note's denomination (and perhaps understand why hubby was loath to hand it over, even for a few minutes)!

You can enter your own interpretation for the Unstampabelles Challenge

#69: To the men in our lives.....
TWIST add an animal

I will enter this in the following challenges:
Great Impressions:  masculine
Allsorts: use 2 dies at least - the gift bag is a die as is the sentiment; plus the deco line of circles

Oh Brother........

June is here and so is the latest challenge at Unstampabelles...........

#69: To the men in our lives.....
TWIST add an animal (or bird)

I made a card this time:

I purchased a new die called Puzzle by Paper Roses and die cut an image that came as a freebie with a magazine to make a jigsaw from it - I deliberately removed one piece an replaced it out of the hole to emphasis the jigsaw......

I had it all planned out but as you know, what is in my head does not always look the same when completed. This is the second image and the first one is on the bin - because I forgot to stick it to card first before die cutting it and got myself into all sorts of difficulties trying initially to correct the error. Note to self: think before doing!

The dies added are a collection of various ones I own by different die makers - if you really want to know who just email me.

You can enter all month and make a card, a tag, a scrap page, a gift.....whatever is suitable for the men in our lives. Don't forget to add an animal for the twist!

It is a cold day today but not overcast and it will be a cold night - we have entered winter with a flourish of snow earlier in the week but mostly clear, calm blue days and a bit of rain in the evenings.

There have been an abundance of stunning aurora photographs this week on FB and Instagram
Here is just one of them

Standing in awe as sheets and beams of light dance across the sky to the south of Hobart & Beyond's Mortimer Bay.
