First Challenge in 2016 for Unstampabelles

Challenge #54: Unstampabelles

Looking Forward, Looking Back......

The TWIST is to use either a window or a mirror in your work

......but firstly.....

I personally am looking forward to a time when there are no fires and floods in Tassie and looking back at the extraordinary work our wonder Firefighters and SES people have done
along with the work of the various crews from the other states in Australia
and the crew from New Zealand!

Thank You for your help

Now, on to the Challenge!

This is the Prize being offered

It runs until the 26th February, and you can enter any paper crafting project EXCEPT one using stamps or digital stamps

A young friend of mine has made a move from the city to the country, and purchased her own home. She has several horses now, and lots of cats, a house and a daughter

I wanted to make her a Welcome to you New Home card  - looking forward; with reference to something from the past so I added the cats. There is also a window to it the TWIST!

I used some material I have had for years - I am not sure what it is but it is sort of hairy and loose but is stuck together - I have a square of it, and used some of it for grass, as when they first moved in there was lots of long grass to be cleared away from the house to begin with - and this stuff looks like unmoved grass!

I made the fence by hand cutting it out, and using some old wooded image paper.

She has a lot of cats...... I put more inside with another bird or two......

My window frame was die cut out, then sanded to bring out the colour underneath, and reinserted into the gap left from the diecut. Some diecut flowers and trees/shrubs and it was one.

Please go to Unstampabelles and see the other work from the other Design Team Members, and then get cracking making a project to match this theme!

I will enter this in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion: anything goes
Our Crafty Corner: anything goes

It's always so cool to see someone who can use dies in such a cute and clever way! This scene is just quaint and adorable.

I love this card. Thanks so much for describing how you made it. Your friend will love it. Who wouldn't want lots of cats and horses? My two fave animals.
