Walk on the Wild Side

Hello Peeps

Just a quick post for Bizzy Bec's Store Blog
for her May challenge

Anything Goes!

My card this month is featuring Dark Room Door again.

My card  is a little wacky - OK wackier than ususal......

I went back to the Darkroom Door part of my collection
and had a bit of a play

Firstly I cut a circle using one of the bigger circle dies and used this as a stencil. I  laid it over my card while between the two I slid in the small stencil from DD (see below for details)

The I got out my Brusho's and others that are similar.
I lightly sprayed some water to begin with  and then
sprinkled various paints onto the wet surface.

I did lay another piece of w/c card over this and take another impression for later use
as well as rolling over some paper towel to dry it off a bit more before beginning work.

Then  I ran a fine line black pen around the edge of my circle
before undoing all the layers to revel the take.
It was a bit messier than I expected but I made do with it.

I took the sentiment and randomly added ink using my w/c markers to the stamp.
When I assumed it was pretty well covered, I huffed on it
and then held my breath while I stamped it.
I wanted to mimic the mess in the circle a bit.

After fussy cutting out my girl, I added her on dimensionals.

The gold banner was in my stash

Of course I had to have a supervisor when I was trying to get a good photo of it in the sunshine

Details:
Circle die was from an early Sizzix set
The circle was decorated using a Small Stencil - DDSS036 Grunge Borders

The sentiment comes from the set
This was coloured with water markers
(I used SU markers but anything will do)

My girl was fussy cut from a G & T Design (NZ) 2017 Paper-Arts
The gold banner is from my stash
All card is from SU

I walked today - not too wild where I went, on the path outside the house around the waterfront.

What a great card. Need to get the nerve up to try something messier! Love the effect of the huffing on the stamp.
